Responsibilities
Analysis of the customer’s product offering within the context of its quoting, selling, producing, procuring, delivering, and servicing processes from front (customer) to back (supplier), and determination, together with the customer, of which of SAP’s variant configuration technologies would be appropriate at which process point;
Analysis of the current state of the customer’s legacy variant configurator tools and data, and determination, again with participation from the customer, of the most appropriate method(s) for their conversion to SAP’s variant configurator technology;
Guidance in establishing the customer’s own Variant Configuration Competence Center, and selection and training of the customer’s resources, sufficient to enable their active participation in the activities just described;
On-going variant configuration product and product system modeling support.

Required
5+ years' experience in SAP VC or SSC modeling, or similar configuration modeling with complex products and/or systems.
5+ years’ experience in Java, C#, Python, Groovy, C++, JavaScript programming languages.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering.
Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy.
Deep expertise in the core modules of all three variant configurator technologies: Materials and Bills-of-material, Classification (classes, characteristics, class hierarchies and networks, class nodes, material classifications), Dependency logic (constraint nets, constraints).
Expertise in Variant Configurator and Advanced Variant Configurator: Configuration profiles, procedures, selection conditions.
Expertise in Solution Sales Configurator: Knowledgebase profiles, tasks, rule nets, rules, functions.
Working knowledge of the processes into which these modules are embedded: Configure-Price-Quote, Quote-to-Invoice, Forecast-to-Produce, Procure-to-Pay.
