Responsibilities
Collect, manage, and analyze large datasets related to energy efficiency programs, including customer, billing, and usage data.
Develop reports and dashboards to monitor program performance, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the design, implementation, and evaluation of energy efficiency programs.
Ensure data accuracy, quality, and compliance with regulatory and programmatic requirements.
Utilize statistical analysis and modeling to forecast energy savings, program impacts, and customer behavior.
Provide insights and recommendations to program managers, stakeholders, and clients to enhance program effectiveness and drive decision-making.
Create visualizations and present complex data findings to non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity and engagement.
Maintain knowledge of current trends and regulations in energy efficiency, ensuring all analysis aligns with industry best practices.
Assist in program evaluation efforts, including cost-benefit analysis, process evaluations, and impact assessments.
Create documentation for data practices and processes and communicate effectively to other stakeholders.

Required
Must be located in or willing to relocate to the greater Chicago, IL area.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
4+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the energy efficiency, utility, or environmental sector.
Experience in database management.
Proficiency in data management tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel, Tableau, AWS, Redshift, Node JS).
Strong statistical and analytical skills, with experience in predictive modeling and forecasting.
Ability to work with complex datasets, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
Experience with energy efficiency program metrics, including energy savings calculations and regulatory reporting.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
Preferred
Master’s degree in a related field.
Knowledge of energy efficiency technologies, policies, and industry standards is highly desirable.
Interest in sustainability and a passion for making a meaningful impact on the environment.
