Responsibilities

Lead the design, configuration, implementation, and management of the Data Integration Framework for optimal performance and reliability.
Develop and maintain infrastructure systems, including data warehouses and data lakes, and provide data access APIs.
Build operational data stores (ODS) for health plan data, ensuring alignment with business requirements and IT operations.
Translate business requirements into scalable data architecture and provide solutions for build-vs-buy decisions.
Oversee data engineering initiatives, including ETL/ELT processes, and create frameworks for structured and unstructured data.
Collaborate with IT operations teams to analyze and transform health plan operational data.
Enforce best practices for data auditing, scalability, and reliability while ensuring performance optimization.
Perform data analysis, statistical techniques, and create actionable insights using tools such as Power BI.
Research and implement the latest data engineering methodologies and practices to drive innovation.

Required

8+ years of experience leading data engineering teams, focusing on large-scale, transformative data build-outs.
Extensive experience with healthcare and health plan data operational stores.
Proven ability to design and implement operational data stores (ODS) in the health plan domain.
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes, relational databases, and data modeling.
Proficiency with multiple data platforms and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred

Strong expertise in programming languages (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Python) and database design concepts.
Knowledge of data exchange formats and data movement concepts.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver scalable data solutions.
