Responsibilities

Write code and build data solutions as a primary job responsibility

Work in partnership with product managers and stakeholders to design solutions

Oversee and mentor data engineers and analysts, leading by example

Set direction on how the team works in terms of agile process, code quality, deployments, and support

Maintain high operational excellence, participating in an on-call support rotation for the data team

Required

BS (or higher, e.g., MS, or PhD) in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience

7+ years of professional data engineering experience, including project leadership

High proficiency in SQL and Python

Experience building large scale production solutions using a modern data platform product (Databricks preferred)

Experience with big data solutions (e.g. Hadoop), especially in service of hosting ML models
