Responsibilities
Design Leadership : Lead and own the conceptualization, design, and iterative development of modular launch vehicles with an emphasis on efficiency, adaptability, and cutting-edge sustainability.
Advanced Engine Integration : Oversee the integration of state-of-the-art aerospike engines, ensuring top-tier performance across various altitudes.
Prototyping and Testing : Direct rapid prototyping and rigorous testing phases, analyze results, and implement data-driven improvements.
Team Building and Management : Recruit, mentor, and inspire a team of highly motivated engineers, cultivating a culture of resilience, innovation, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
Strategic Technical Insight : Act as a technical sounding board for the Founder and CEO, offering strategic insight that informs long-term research and development initiatives.
Quality and Safety Assurance : Ensure all projects meet stringent aerospace quality and safety standards.
Continuous Learning : Keep pace with the latest industry trends and innovations to maintain a competitive edge in vehicle design and propulsion technologies.

Required
5+ years in aerospace engineering or a closely related field, with substantial hands-on experience in launch vehicle design and propulsion systems.
Deep knowledge of aerodynamics, propulsion, structural analysis, and complex systems integration.
Proven ability to lead and motivate teams under pressure and in a startup environment where timelines are tight and the stakes high.
A strong desire to embrace the challenges of a startup, characterized by adaptability, drive, and the willingness to work beyond conventional hours to achieve exceptional results.
Creative, analytical, and fearless in tackling unprecedented engineering problems.
Clear, effective communication for team collaboration and leadership reporting.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred
Prior experience at a startup or in new product development is highly valued.
A Ph.D. is a plus but not required.
