Responsibilities
Take ultimate responsibility for and direct personnel in the investigations and reconstruction departments, mentor, and train personnel.
Monitor the contractual obligations of the Investigation and Recon work, including productivity, as well as overall quality and timeliness of services and deliverables to Clients.
Maintain Company standards for responsible services, including FGIA Field Testing Services in conjunction with their Deputy and Quality Assurance department. This is to include written guides, training procedures and overall direction for each of the services under their direction.
Monitor and promote internal dialog between Insurance Personnel, Consultants, Testing Technicians, the Lab, Calibration and QA.
Always establish and maintain a safe working environment.
Must use power and hand tools to construct items needed in the testing process.
Provide excellent customer service.
Building envelope knowledge is a must, this includes but not limited to various types of roofing assemblies, wall assemblies, air barriers, and window assemblies.
Up to 75 percent travel is a requirement. Often work at local sites is conducted requiring minimal travel. At times employees are required to travel up to 75% of the time. The company incurs the Per diem cost for lodging, food, and transportation costs during that time.

Required
Must have at least 5 years of experience building investigations.
Level I Thermography Mandatory
Must have knowledge of ASTM and AAMA protocols such as ASTM 2128, ASTM E1105, AAMA 511 and AAMA 501.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have over two years of safe driving experience.
Must have the willingness to learn and adapt to certain situations.
Experience in building envelope investigations
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
Ability to use measuring devices and make precise cuts to wood using hand and power tools.
Knowledge of building products (WRB’s, roofing products, sealants, coatings, horizontal and vertical waterproofing flashings etc.)
Knowledge of exterior claddings and roofing assemblies (brick veneer, stucco, EIFS, lap siding, WRB’s, TPO, PVC, EPDM etc.)
Ability to formulate and solve simple mathematical equations.
Must always follow all safety and quality standards.
Possess and display excellent written and verbal communication skills.

HAAF Roof certification (A Plus)
EIFS and EIFS Cladding Certification (A Plus)
CDT Certification (A Plus)
AAMA Installation Masters (A Plus)
Level II Thermography (A Plus)
RRC (A Plus)
RRO (A Plus)
