Responsibilities

Design Leadership : Lead the conceptualization, design, and iterative development of modular propulsion systems, focusing on efficiency, adaptability, and sustainability.
Advanced Engine Integration : Oversee the integration of advanced aerospike engines into launch vehicle designs, ensuring optimal performance at all altitudes.
Prototyping and Testing : Direct the prototyping and testing phases, analyzing data and making informed adjustments to improve reliability and performance.
Team Building and Management : Assemble, mentor, and manage a team of entrepreneurial engineers, fostering an innovative and results-driven culture.
Strategic Input : Provide strategic technical input to the leadership team and contribute to long-term R&D plans for advanced space technologies.
Quality Assurance : Ensure that all engineering processes meet high safety and quality standards in line with aerospace regulations.
Continuous Learning : Stay informed on industry advancements and emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantages in vehicle design.

Required

3+ years in aerospace engineering or a related field, with significant experience in launch vehicle design and propulsion systems.
Proficiency in aerodynamics, propulsion, structural analysis, and systems integration.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team in high-stakes, innovative projects.
Strong desire to be part of a high-impact startup with a willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Creative and analytical thinker with a proven track record of addressing complex engineering challenges.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration and reporting.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred

Experience in startups or new product development.
A Ph.D. is a plus but not required.
