Responsibilities

Drive Sales & Business Growth:
• Lead VirtuOwl’s sales efforts by developing strategies to target and secure new customers, focusing on K-12 schools and educational organizations.
• Use your network, industry knowledge, and VirtuOwl’s resources to generate leads, conduct outreach, and close deals.
• Represent VirtuOwl with passion and professionalism, maintaining a high level of credibility.
• This role requires travel of 1-2 nights per week. Being in front of key decision-makers and buyers is crucial for closing deals and driving business growth, making regular in-person meetings a vital part of our sales strategy.
Develop & Implement Strategic Sales Plans:
• Design sales strategies that align with VirtuOwl’s growth objectives, emphasizing short-term wins at the district level while building momentum toward larger contracts.
• Focus on customer success, ensuring new clients are effectively onboarded and retained.
Build Market Presence:
• Represent VirtuOwl at industry events and conferences to enhance the company’s reputation and expand its network.
• Collaborate with marketing to create compelling messaging and materials that highlight VirtuOwl’s value proposition.
Earn Equity & Contribute to Company Growth:
• Earn equity tied to sales milestones and strategic goals.
• Align with VirtuOwl’s rapid growth plan and participate actively in achieving the company's 2026 strategic exit or merger.

Required

Minimum of 3-5 years in EdTech, with a focus on sales or business development roles.
Proven success in selling software solutions to educational institutions, with experience in RFP processes and district/state-level contracting.
Demonstrated ability to create effective sales strategies that yield results.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills within the education sector.
Excellent communication skills, capable of representing VirtuOwl’s vision and mission to potential clients.
Motivated to be part of a fast-growing startup and contribute to significant growth.
Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with a willingness to take initiative and adapt as needed.
