Responsibilities

Develop and lead the Herr Venture for Change Program within the University of Dayton's entrepreneurship center.

Design curriculum for social entrepreneurship courses and approve an undergraduate certificate in social entrepreneurship.

Teach social entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship, and other management classes.

Create a new international social entrepreneurship experiential opportunity.

Collaborate with student organizations and area social ventures.

Contribute to the vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Dayton, Ohio.

Required

Master’s Degree in related field

Three years of entrepreneurial experience in a social venture or nonprofit

Experience in creating or leading a social venture or nonprofit organization

Excellent written communication skills

Teaching, training, and or instructional design experience

Preferred

PhD, JD, DBA, or terminal degree in related field

Five years of leadership or supervision experience in nonprofit or entrepreneurial business

Teaching experience at the collegiate level

Experience with course development at the collegiate level

Demonstrated experience working with students inside and outside the classroom

Experience creating or developing new initiatives in higher education or nonprofit organizations

Familiarity with the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Dayton region

Familiarity with Dayton's nonprofit community

High level of cultural intelligence and an articulated ability to effectively establish cross-cultural relationships across multiple dimensions of diversity, including race, gender, gender identity, cognitive and physical disabilities, class, religious perspectives, and sexual orientation

Commitment to the breadth of education, including educating the whole person in the Marianist tradition and a commitment of service to the community, University, and profession
