Responsibilities
A key member on our Legal Services team.
Provide legal assistant support to a variety of teams within the region.
Assist attorneys with daily administrative tasks.
Docket deadlines.
Coordinate attorney travel arrangements.
Format pleadings and correspondence.
Schedule depositions, hearings, and conference calls.
Assist with trial preparation.
File and E-File documents in State, Federal, and Appellate Courts.
Assist with document management and file organization.
Assist with training on firm processes and procedures as necessary.
Provide mentorship for new team members.
Assist with case file transfers and file uploads (incoming and outgoing).
Follow court updates and procedures to share with the team.
Collaborate regularly with other regional Legal Assistants on firmwide projects and initiatives.

Required
Minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a litigation legal assistant.
Insurance defense experience preferred.
Solid understanding of civil litigation (state and federal calendar deadlines and rules).
Advanced understanding of legal acumen.
Ability to quickly adapt to different team needs.
Experience with State, Federal, and Appellate court filings.
High proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
Ability to troubleshoot and provide recommended solutions.
Articulate team player with excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Flexible schedule, ability to work a later work day of 9:30 am - 6 pm (PDT).
Preferred
Experience with Prolaw and Worldox preferred.
