Responsibilities

Assist in new hire coordination and training of new legal assistant staff
Assist in the development of training programs and materials
Monitor legal assistant staff work assignments
Provide supervision/support to legal assistant staff
Draft notes and comments for legal assistant performance evaluations
Report to CRU management and Human Resources regarding employee performance and work status
Assist in resolving issues and disputes
Assist with providing reports to interoffice/interdepartmental management
Assist attorneys with special due diligence efforts and other special projects
Service as liaison between CRU and: outside counsel staff, the FJD, the DAO staff and PPD/PDP staff
Track and report CRU data and statistics as needed

Legal assistant experienceParalegal certificateWordExcel

Required

Excellent written and oral communication
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced setting
Ability to manage numerous assignments
Experience with Word and Excel
Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work on teams and collaborate with colleagues and clients

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate or equivalent
Three or more years’ experience in a legal setting, preferably in a law firm or an in-house legal department
