Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and transactions with key customers and suppliers, including GPOs, contractors, and vendors.

Support the sales team by identifying opportunities and assisting with business growth initiatives.

Provide legal guidance on sales agreements, licensing, service contracts, and regulatory matters.

Collaborate with HR to address labor and employment matters, engaging local counsel as needed.

Provide assistance dealing with general issues related to corporate integration.

Review advertising, promotional materials, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Deliver legal training to teams on contracts, compliance, and regulatory issues.

Provide healthcare compliance advice and assist with applications for business licenses.

Manage outside counsel and legal spend as necessary and coordinate internal resources for litigation or dispute resolution.

Required

3-6 years of strong transactional and contract drafting experience within including purchasing, supplier, manufacturing, and distribution agreements.

Experience providing legal advice to distributed business teams related to pricing, operations, supply chain, and clinical research.

Strong contract negotiation skills and ability to resolve legal issues quickly.

Experience with labor, employment and regulatory matters.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in Sales, Quality/Regulatory, Marketing, and Medical.

In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry compliance codes, anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, and regulations governing interactions with physicians, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.

JD with active bar membership, preferably with dual qualifications in civil and common law.

Significant experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, particularly in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to ethical practices.

Preferred

Strong business acumen with the ability to offer timely, practical legal advice in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Collaborative mindset with the interpersonal skills to build relationships across functions.

Expertise in legal compliance in highly regulated environments.

Strong communication, and problem-solving abilities.
