Responsibilities

Conduct security benchmarking of Linux systems using CIS benchmarks to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.

Develop and maintain secure Linux images that comply with CIS standards.

Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate security benchmarks into the development and deployment processes.

Perform regular security assessments and audits to ensure ongoing compliance with CIS benchmarks.

Document and report on security findings, providing recommendations for remediation.

Stay up-to-date with the latest CIS benchmarks and security best practices for Linux systems.

Provide guidance and training to team members on security benchmarking and compliance.

Required

7+ years of experience in Linux CIS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience in Linux system administration and security.

Strong understanding of CIS benchmarks and their application to Linux systems.

Experience with security tools and technologies used for vulnerability assessment and compliance.

Familiarity with scripting and automation tools to streamline security assessments.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred

Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).

Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

Knowledge of cloud environments and securing Linux systems in the cloud.
