Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and sustain Linux and IRIS Station 200 VistA systems, including development/test environments and associated management servers.
Install software, apply patches, and perform system upgrades while ensuring optimal performance and security.
Maintain backup infrastructure and verify compliance with VA requirements, providing analysis for potential system improvements.
Monitor SCIP architecture framework performance, identify issues, and propose solutions for improvement.
Perform database maintenance, including configuration changes, software upgrades, backups, and restoration.
Respond to defects, outages, and user-reported issues to ensure system stability and reliability.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience.
5+ years of experience in Linux OS administration.
Proficiency with AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
Familiarity with InterSystems IRIS management software.
Knowledge of VA 6500 series and NIST 800-53 compliance standards.
Experience with enterprise monitoring tools like Dynatrace and SolarWinds.
Understanding of STIG scanning and remediation processes.
Knowledge of healthcare data standards (CDA, FHIR, HL7) for regulatory compliance.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

Experience in SAFe/Agile Software Development.
Familiarity with VA environment is a plus.
Ability to obtain a government clearance.
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or any related certification.
