Responsibilities
Observe, maintain, adjust, clean, remove cans, and make minor repairs to automatic lacquer spraying machines and related equipment.
Start/stop lacquer room equipment, set up and adjust spray room equipment, detect and remove defective cans, remove jams, lubricate equipment, start up and shut down ovens, place lacquer waste materials into proper containers.
Maintain checklists, records, receive and offload tanker trucks, and ensure safety in all assigned duties.

Required
Minimum 18 years old
High School diploma or G.E.D preferred
Minimum six (6) months’ work experience in a manufacturing company is highly desirable
Must possess basic math skills
Mechanical experience working in a manufacturing setting will be desirable
Must be able to comply with all OSHA and WISHA safety rules and regulations
Must be able to stand for long periods as well as climbing stairs and working on elevated stationary platforms and withstand extreme climate changes especially during summer months
Demonstrated strong attention to detail, good record keeping and precision abilities is highly desirable
Ability to work under time pressures and flexibility to adjust to sudden work patterns or schedules
Ability to work independently and with teams. Must have good interpersonal skills
Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, evenings, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate
This position requires union membership after 30 days of hire
Preferred
Mechanical experience working in a manufacturing setting will be desirable
