Responsibilities

Environmental/Safety requirements.
Interface with employees to review CNC machining and tooling rates.
Interface with tooling supplier to ensure use of proper tooling for production. Work with suppliers to develop better cutting tools for specific PM applications.
Provide Training and Technical support for set-up technicians on all shifts.
Coordinate and communicate continuous improvement activities with engineering and manufacturing personnel.
Provide machining engineering information for quotation purposes in a timely fashion.
Support engineering projects as needed (i.e., Tooling/fixture design and detailing)
Design and optimize component geometry for ease of manufacture at exceptional quality level.
Back-up support to CNC programming.
Provide the driving force for quality standard improvement and production capability improvement through the application of exceptional manufacturing practices.
Provides a working capacity plan developed by machining engineer and manufacturing manager.
Aids in the development of new products within the machining arena.
Will be responsible for all new machining equipment with regards to safe operation.
Responsible for creating and developing standardized work for all machining applications.
Support ALL new equipment runoffs, installs and upgrades.
WI location and understanding.
Other duties as assigned.

Required

High School Diploma or GED (Associate Degree in Applied Science in Business, Engineering or Manufacturing)
3-5 years of machining experience
Forward thinking, open-minded, methodical, and aggressive approach to problem solving
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Component and tooling insert design experience
Excellent analytical abilities
Proficient in Catia, Pro-E, Autocad, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
