Responsibilities

Installation and customization of IBM z/OS and associated major subsystems.

Installation and customization of IBM and non-IBM software products the run on the z/OS operating system.

Monitor the operating system using tools including BMC to improve performance and to diagnose and resolve problems.

Ensure customer satisfaction and provide follow-up support to various customer organizations

Respond to issues generated from the Helpdesk, Operations, and Applications staff

Participate in disaster recovery procedures.

Create and maintain system policies and user documentation.

Required

9+ years of programming experience with a Bachelors degree in Math, Computer Science or Information Systems from an accredited college or university or 2+ or more years applied experience without a degree

IBM z/OS 2.2 or above internal knowledge

Proficient with IBM z/OS installation tools to include SMP/E, z/OSMF, PDO, etc.

Experience in UNIX Systems Services under z/OS

Experience with hardware configuration tools (HCD, IODF)
