Responsibilities

Respond and attend to guest repair requests.

Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.

Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.

Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.

Assure each day’s activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts.

Display proficiency in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and more.

Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing, and electrical equipment.

Assist with surface preparation, painting, drywall repair, and more.

Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.

Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.

Train and mentor other engineers.

Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities.

Universal Chlorofluorocarbon CertificationFederal Certification/LicensingPainting

Required

Valid Driver’s License

Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification

Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements

Preferred

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background

At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience

Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
