Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day support to the Project Manager and Data Analyst in developing and delivering key elements of various reports, including, but not limited to, the DHS Agency Financial Report (AFR), DHS Annual Performance Report (APR), and the DHS Budget.
Collaborate with client staff and stakeholders to track, collect, analyze, and interpret performance and financial data. This includes ensuring data accuracy and validity.
Develop and maintain detailed schedules and work plans for assigned tasks and projects.
Assist with the preparation of briefings and presentations for executive-level audiences.
Identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to business, management, operational, technical, policy, and professional challenges.
Ensure adherence to all established quality control standards and procedures.
Proactively identify and manage risks associated with data integrity and reporting accuracy.
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all project-related activities and data.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration. An Associate's degree and equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in management analysis, financial reporting, or a related field. Experience working with federal government clients is highly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and data analysis tools (Tableau, Power BI).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience working with large datasets and performing data validation.

Preferred

Experience working with DHS or other federal agencies.
Familiarity with government budgeting and appropriations processes.
Knowledge of relevant government regulations and compliance requirements.
Experience with desktop publishing best practices and software.
