Manager, Accounts Receivable and Compliance

Responsibilities
• Accounts Receivable:
• Review and process invoice requests for SHPE donors and customers.
• Set up and update customer payment portals with required SHPE information as well as updating invoices and requests for payments. Review all outstanding requests and track payment dates.
• Review bank account transactions daily to confirm ACH payments.
• Deposit all checks received.
• Review and update daily cash log for all ACH and check payments received. Confirm all payments were processed in QuickBooks Online and the log is completed.
• Review the AR Aging report each month to identify past due accounts. Work with the Finance Coordinator to collect past due invoices.
• Prepare AR analysis for the quarterly Finance Committee report.
• Work with the Controller to develop and implement efficient Accounts Receivable processes and procedures.
• Manage the Finance Coordinator responsible for Accounts Receivable entry.
• Compliance:
• Manage the state and federal charitable compliance process, including completing state required documentation. Meet with regulatory compliance contractor monthly to ensure timely processing of required documentation.
• Prepare any required financial reporting, including donations and revenues by state, as required.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
• Reconciliations:
• Work with Controller to review general ledger details to ensure transactions are coding to the correct general ledger codes.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations of all accounts.
• Assist Controller with month end audit of accounts and associated work papers.

Required
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
Minimum of three years of experience in accounts receivables, compliance reporting, reconciliations or related field.
Proficiency with accounting software, online payment software, spreadsheets, and data management systems.
Demonstrated skill in providing a high level of service to multiple customers, ideally in a nonprofit context.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred
Experience working in a nonprofit organization.
Experience with QuickBooks Online.
