Responsibilities
Lead a team of Application Security engineers, assigning projects and prioritizing tasks
Ensure projects are delivered on time and with high quality
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, consulting on security requirements and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery
Drive security initiatives in the development lifecycle and mentor team members on secure coding and architecture
Develop and deliver security training programs or code review guidelines for engineering pods
Mentor and guide AppSec engineers, fostering professional growth and development through one-on-ones, coaching and real-time feedback
Plan team KPIs and monitor progress
Work with engineering on vulnerability management program, maintaining backlog and driving remediation efforts

Required
8+ years of information security experience in a fast-moving, high growth environment
2+ years of engineering team leadership experience
Have a demonstrated track record of building high-quality security programs and cross-functional collaboration within a highly regulated environment
5+ years of hands-on practical experience with some or all of Ruby, Rails, React, Flutter, GraphQL, TypeScript
Understanding of cloud architecture concepts and best practices
Relevant security certifications (OSCP, CEH, OSWE)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Bonus points for Terraform experience
