Responsibilities

Hire within the US and Canada to grow the team.

Support the career growth of a diversified engineering team.

Work closely with collaborators across the company to define delivery roadmaps that consist of engineering needs, product feature requests and field requests on a predictable schedule with consistent stability and reliability.

Work with Engineering leadership in the Infrastructure product line to shape and grow the Terraform Enterprise organization.

Lean on the technical background to guide design and architecture conversations between engineers to a clear outcome.

Required

2 years People Management experience.

5 years minimum engineering experience.

Located in the Central or Eastern Time Zone US or Canada.

A background leading engineering teams in the Software Development, DevOPS and/or Infrastructure Engineering teams. Bonus point for experience managing a remote distributed team.

Strong communication skills for working across a large organization and building relationships with diverse peers and leadership.

Experience in enterprise application on release management, CI, and automation.

Knowledge of Docker, Kubernates, Golang and microservice architectures.

Preferred

A Bachelor or higher degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related fields is highly preferred.

Cursory knowledge of Terraform is a plus.

Experience in enterprise application on release management, CI, and automation.

As HashiCorp is a global company, previous experience successfully with working with and leading teams in other countries is desired.
