Responsibilities

Manage timelines and workback schedules with stakeholders, including internal collaborators and external vendors.
Manage relationships with internal marketing teams and third-party vendors to ensure smooth event execution.
Build project plans and document requirements in project management tools, including GitHub issues and project boards.
Gather event project requirements and design specifications to collaborate effectively with design and engineering teams.
Coordinate event logistics, including physical setup, catering, and online content.
Ensure event execution aligns with GitHub's vision, values, and commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
Document processes for iterative project improvement.
Build registration reports and dashboards for event stakeholders.
Track and leverage event performance metrics to inform future improvements.

Required

5+ years of experience with events management software and digital or live experiential event coordination or production, or a related field.
OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years of experience in digital or live experiential event coordination or production.
OR equivalent experience.

Preferred

Proficiency with event management software such as Rainfocus, Swoogo, Goldcast, or Contentful.
Basic understanding of web development, UX principles, or experience using design tools like Figma or Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong ability to manage multiple projects independently in a primarily virtual work environment.
Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time for on-site event production and execution.
