Responsibilities
Email & Subscription Program Campaign Strategy. Contribute to the development of Lifecycle marketing strategy to engage customers across various journey stages, including acquisition, activation, onboarding, and retention. In partnership with internal stakeholders, plan, design, and implement strategic lifecycle marketing programs via manual and triggered campaigns across the customer lifecycle, including prospecting, win-back, nurturing post-purchase, loyalty, retention, surveys, and transactional Emails/SMS to advance Email effectiveness, deepen engagement and grow Email marketing products. Create compelling content for email and SMS marketing campaigns, while ensuring consistency in brand voice and messaging across all lifecycle marketing communications.
Email Marketing & Subscription Programs . In partnership with internal stakeholders and ESP, take the lead to develop strategies and tactics to advance Email effectiveness, deepen engagement and grow the company's Email and SMS marketing products. Bridge the gap between a technical development team, product, and a strategic marketing team by creating detailed requirements for each project.
Performance Analysis and Reporting for Lifecycle Channels . Analyze performance metrics and customer data across email and SMS channels to build detailed reports, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to optimize lifecycle marketing strategies and improve customer engagement, retention, and growth.
Marketing Automation, Technical Implementation and Email/SMS Tool Integration . Understand Email and SMS marketing technology, platforms, and software to send effective Emails to our target audiences. Work cross-functionally with Development, Merchandising, Analytics, and Creative teams to design, build, and execute automated, triggered lifecycle, and ad-hoc campaigns across direct marketing user journeys (email, SMS, and other messaging delivery applications). Create and deliver relevant drip-feed campaigns based on data (sometimes pulled from other tools or marketing platforms) to create relevant journeys within multi-channel campaigns to drive action and conversions.
Master Email/SMS Calendar. Manage and execute master Email/SMS marketing calendar and ensure alignment with promotions, product launches, events, business priorities, demand forecasts, and internal stakeholders.
SMS Marketing and Integrated Campaigning. Produce and execute all Email and SMS campaigns, including creating templates and HTML, copywriting, asset coordination, QA, scheduling and posting to web Create compelling content for email and SMS marketing campaigns, while ensuring consistency in brand voice and messaging across all lifecycle marketing communications.
Database Management. Manage the Email Database. Work directly with the marketing team to recommend and create audiences based on key KPIs for campaigns, segment audiences based on behaviors like past Email engagement and website interactions, and drive engagement and revenue performance against KPI goals (CTR, CVR, ROAS, CPA, CPC, EPC, Open Rate). Create a well-oiled nurture machine that generates conversions and promotes list growth.
Customer Experience and Journey Mapping. Build Emails and map customer journeys. In tandem with marketing team members, create and launch within the Marketing Automation Platform according to intentional customer experience design and relevant sales funnel. Monitor for optimization opportunities.
Message & Content Personalization. Use customer data and insights from reports, such as CRM, web, attendance, and purchasing behavior, to drive the message and content personalization.
A/B Testing Skills. Devise, execute, and A/B test across email marketing campaigns to ensure optimal click-through rates, and drive conversions across mobile, desktop, dark mode, etc. Develop a testing calendar and report that includes subject lines, message content, CTAs, customer cohorts, segments, send time, and new features intended to drive performance lift.
Optimize Email Creative and Templates. Work in partnership with internal and external teams to optimize Email creative and templates based on performance and insights, as well as best practices. (Various formats include text, HTML, and custom.) Ideal candidates will have a strong creative vision and excellent design skills (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
Render Testing. Perform render testing across devices, Email clients, and ISPs to ensure Emails are responsive and rendering correctly for most of the subscriber base.
Campaign Performance Reports. Create and maintain performance reports and monitor metrics. Reports to include successes and opportunities for growth; measure results and optimize Email and SMS campaigns to convert leads into conversions; provide reports to internal stakeholders and suggest/make changes based upon results.
Email Deliverability & Contact List Cleaning. Diagnose Email deliverability health including high bounce rates and spam folder placement alongside our cross-functional teams and stakeholders to target 100% Email deliverability. Understand how to identify the root cause of the problem to solve it quickly and get and keep our brand back on track.
Audit. Innovate, Improve. Leverage data-driven insights to optimize campaigns and flows continually to improve overall lifecycle and retention marketing effectiveness. Regularly identify trends, best practices, technology, and Email/SMS marketing strategies from other leading global brands and thought leaders. Glean insights and new innovative ideas for email marketing tactics, including audits of how we can acquire, nurture, and retain these customers. Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to key stakeholders.
Global Data Privacy Policies. Stay on top of the rapidly changing global data privacy policies, a growing SMS marketing industry, opt-in requirements for both Email and SMS, and an increase in the value of an owned and engaged Email marketing list.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
5+ years experience in a Retention Marketing or CRM role, preferably in the e-commerce and/or online marketing space.
Strong background in Klaviyo, Iterable, and Attentive with a track record of driving performance for dynamic email and SMS marketing initiatives.
Detailed knowledge of Email/SMS regulations, best practices, and compliance internationally in various regulatory regimes (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, TCPA, CASL)
Detailed knowledge of email deliverability and troubleshooting; and Email service providers’ best practices.
Proven experience in growing, engaging with, and analyzing the performance of large marketing databases.
Knowledgeable in Google Analytics 4, HTML/CSS, A/B Testing, and other AMS and CMS.
Strong understanding of statistical testing principles within CRM.
Demonstrable ability to manage complex projects and time sensitive initiatives successfully and efficiently with a keen attention to detail and quality.
Basic proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Highly motivated with strong initiative and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse, dynamic, and geographically dispersed interdisciplinary team.
Strong written and verbal communication, business acumen, and analytical skills.
Must be based in the US with full work authorization.
Preferred
Previous experience in the Dental Industry is a plus.
