Responsibilities

Review Operations documents for department members as needed for quality control, including but not limited to Budgets & Cost Savings, Timelines, F&B grids, Function Space & Meetings grids, Site Inspection itineraries, Signage plans, Security plans, Staffing plans, VIP grids, Mailing & Shipping plans, Program Specifications Documents, Final Bill transitions, etc.
Manage the day to day Operations Department Training Program.
Maintain and expand the Operations Handbook.
Work with the Sr. Manager, Operations Development & Recruitment to enhance and revise Operations Department processes, procedures and best practices.
Conduct continued educations sessions/series, including focus groups, case studies, etc.
Communicate training and best practice insights and observations to the Sr. Manager, Operations Development & Recruitment to help shape the future of the Department.
Support the maintenance of Operations Department Grid and PSR Name fields as directed by Director of Operations.
Support on promotions and termination related tasks.
Credit Card Reconciliation & Ordering.
Bi-Weekly Time Demon Tracking.
Responsible for an assigned team of Event Specialists, Event Managers & Sr. Event Managers.
Participate in transition meetings when an assigned team member is involved in the program from Strategic Sourcing to Operations to ensure proper transition and team member understands role and scope of program.
Hold regular 1:1 meetings with assigned team members, providing a forum for advice, guidance, and mentorship.
Provide assigned team members with feedback for continued development, accountability, and success.
Mentor and guide assigned team members in the soft skills required for the successful execution of events and professional development.
Analyze and review performance of team members, developing steps to improve future employee performance and development.
Participate in staffing decision-making for assigned employees, providing analysis and feedback on team members’ bandwidth, assignments, and schedules to help align proper program staffing, as well as employee opportunity and development.

Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Minimum 5+ years in event management
Minimum of 2+ years of staff or team management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Required Travel: This position requires travel up to 25%.
