Responsibilities

Develop and lead the Financial Crime Risk Management Assurance function, setting strategic objectives, and providing direction on all FCRM Assurance plans and reporting

Define the Annual Assurance Plan and oversee FCRM Assurance reviews, issue validation, and monitoring activities to evaluate the effectiveness of controls and identify areas for improvement

Design and implement a comprehensive FCRM Assurance framework, policies, and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the BHI Group of Brands and Businesses

Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments, and ensure that the Assurance plan reflects any changes

Identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics cross-functionally to enhance existing Assurance plans and approaches and define a strategy to embed Continuous Assurance Techniques

Required

5+ years of Audit and /or Compliance Assurance experience, preferably with 'Big 4' or other large financial institutions, consulting firms or government agencies

Understanding of Financial Crime Compliance obligations including Sanctions regimes (OFAC, EU, and OFSI) and standard AML requirements

Ability to evaluate complex requirements and apply judgment in determining materiality and path forward

Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills (ability to translate complex information into comprehensive and concise test results and recommendations)

Must be oriented, have strong organizational skills, and have solid problem-solving abilities

Exhibit strong planning and organizational skills

Ability to manage assignments that are of diverse scope and complexity and require significant initiative and judgment

Open to international travel
