Responsibilities

Manage one direct report.
Responsible for the accurate review, interpretation and set-up of licensing and development contracts.
Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes & analysis.
Assist on compilation of management reporting packages & analysis.
Ensure 100% compliance with all financial commitments and obligations.
Responsible for reconciliation of Prepaid Royalties and Royalty Payable Accounts.
Responsible for the accurate preparation and distribution of assigned Royalty Accounting reports to business partners.
Participate and present in monthly close meetings.
Prepare and maintain assigned audit schedules.
Participate in forecasting and annual planning process for royalties.
Assess Royalty Accounting processes, procedures and policies on a continuous basis and make recommendations where appropriate for process improvements.
Responsible for enhancing Royalty Accounting’s relationships with internal and external business partners.
Special projects as assigned, these include, but are not limited to ad hoc reports, 3rd party audits, support new initiatives, system implementation or upgrade.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (CPA or MBA a plus)
Minimum of 6+ years of accounting experience
US GAAP experience
People management experience, including hiring, training (mentoring a plus)
Royalty accounting experience a plus
System administration or superuser experience a plus
