Responsibilities
Leads and manages a team of Machine Learning Scientists, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation, growth, and continuous learning.
Oversees the development and deployment of ML, NLP and Gen AI models & pipelines, ensuring that they meet business requirements and are technically sound.
Oversees the planning and execution of AI projects, ensuring successful delivery and business outcomes. Collaborates with stakeholders to define project requirements, develop project plans, and ensure effective resource allocation.
Provides technical oversight and guidance on AI projects. Reviews and approves technical designs, prototypes, and models.
Communicates technical results and insights to non-technical stakeholders, including executives, product managers, and clinicians. Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and buy-in.
Ensures compliance with Responsible AI guidelines in the development and deployment of machine learning models. Promotes fairness, transparency, and accountability in all aspects of machine learning initiatives.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Proven experience leading technical teams and managing projects related to NLP, with a track record of delivering high-impact projects and driving business outcomes.
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in NLP, with a strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and text processing.
Strong mathematical foundation and understanding of the concepts underlying classic machine learning, deep learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis.
Expert-level familiarity with common machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost, etc.
Experience in and deep intuition for applying ML techniques and approaches to solve problems.
Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
Expert-level proficiency in Python.
Proficient in SQL.
Experience deploying ML models in production systems.
Exposure to containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong grounding in model monitoring and MLOps.
Understanding of how to structure machine learning pipelines.
Familiarity with data preprocessing techniques and tools.
Experience with SQL and/or python data processing libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to collaborate and learn with team members.
Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and data engineering.
Strong leadership, coaching, and mentorship abilities.
Ability to inspire and motivate team members towards achieving goals and delivering high-quality results.
Preferred
Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Streamlining prior authorization and appeal reviews using GenAI and NLP.
Personalizing member engagement to promote the health and well-being of our members.
Identifying members at risk for certain conditions to offer them opportunities for high-value care.
Previous experience in healthcare.
