Responsibilities

Manager will lead and provide oversight and guidance to metrology management teams across the sector to ensure program objectives specific to quality, cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction targets are met.
The manager will be responsible for the development of long-range plans and strategies to provide the most affordable metrology products and services in the industry.
Responsible for formulating capital asset plans and strategies to build a sustainable metrology homeroom organization.
Manager will be responsible for lifecycle management, calibration and maintenance of advanced measurement system assets across the sector.
Identify and develop staffing/skills requirements, forecasts, and training plans. Manager will be responsible for sourcing key technical talent to ensure success of the program(s) and sector homeroom goals.
Partnering with site leaders across the sector to help develop executive planning and strategic vision that help achieve sector business goals & objectives.
Responsible to collaborate with other Aeronautics Systems Tooling Management to help drive affordability.
Ensure alignment and standardization of metrology practices and processes across the sector. Facilitate communication and collaboration between site managers to share best practices and resolve issues.
Prepare for and manage audits related to advanced measurement systems.
Manager will have Cost Account Manager (CAM) responsibility and will ensure compliance to EVMS for applicable direct and indirect budgets.
Manager will be working in a highly dynamic with fast-paced environment.
Manager will be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence and innovations.

Required

Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of professional experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into a production environment OR a Master’s degree and 5 years of professional experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into a production environment or PhD and 2 years of professional experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into a production environment; additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
Must have 3+ years of management experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret and program (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.

Preferred

Active DOD Secret Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
Supervisory and/or Management experience in managing teams, with an emphasis on tooling, metrology, manufacturing, machining, assembly lines, and production environment.
Experience in Project Management
Demonstrated financial management skills including development and control of budgets, schedules, Estimate at Completion (EAC) and the ability to recognize and capture program budgets.
Aerospace or Aviation Industry experience managing tool fabrication organizations & tool fabrication shops, & material procurement
Must possess excellent leadership, oral and interpersonal communications skills along with the ability to function in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
Experience in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
