Responsibilities

Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in primary job family or field of specialization.
Serves as an advisor to leadership on advanced and broad ranging projects.
Provides technical expertise in analyzing client’s requirements to develop IT services offerings across multiple technology solutions that provide significant value.
Supports complex engagements across multiple geographies.
Proactively addresses or escalates any budget issues that are identified during the project.
Leads a project team, directing coworker and client teams in solution design and development.
Provides leadership in creating business cases, financial justification, and solution benefit content for customer ready deliverables and presentations.
Quality Assurance for SOW requests that meet triggers for size, cross brand, and complexity.
Performs peer review of deliverables from other team members for technical content to ensure accuracy.
Maintains client relationships as a trusted Technical Advisor.
Serves as focal point for communications between multiple departments and clients, when necessary, using experience and judgment to communicate effectively with all parties.
Recommends solutions supporting client account teams with development of proposals, quotations, and presentations.
Lead in the client consultations by planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure and related hardware and/or monitoring implementations as well as system deployments and migration planning projects.
Leads large complex, multi-technology projects. Has broad technological experience as well as deep in a handful of current, relevant technology solutions.
Work with Professional Services Managers, Seller’s, Project Managers, and customers to manage expectations and timelines to ensure expectations and commitments are being met.
Provides leadership for prioritization of project technical requirements. Owns technical requirements for the project planning, Main technical contact. for all project team members.
Responsible for client business and technical outcomes of the project.
Leads clients design new business processes to best use the technology being implemented.
Leads troubleshooting effort across multi-technology, multi-vendor solutions and provides road map on steps required to address issues.
Expert in working with various vendor support teams including ability to drive escalation within that vendor.
Expert in multiple technologies and generalist in a wide variety of technologies.
Able to develop client project financial goals, metrics, and ROI.
Expert in multiple market segments.
Helps define CDW best practices.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, a related technical degree, and at least 7 years’ experience delivering complex technical solutions including planning, development, implementation and support OR
At least 11 years’ experience delivering complex technical solutions including planning, development, implementation, and support.
Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills including demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective to internal and external clients.
History engaging with people across levels, functions, culture, and geography, navigating interpersonal and group dynamics. Acts with diplomacy and tact. Build constructive relationships with people both similar and different to self.
Proven ability to research advanced and complex technology solutions, evaluate alternatives, make recommendations, and present materials to clients in a manner that meets client’s needs.
Demonstrated ability to act in a calm and productive manner when confronted with change, ambiguity, and risk. Deals constructively with problems that do not have clear solutions or outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to develop longer-range project plans and schedules to complete complex projects or new solution/product development.
Demonstrated experience applying lessons learned to unique problems. History of reskilling on new technologies with the ability to determine benefits for clients.
Must be able and willing to work beyond their regularly scheduled shift, select weekends, overtime as necessary or on occasion to meet operational needs.
Valid U.S. driver’s license
Ability and willingness to travel as needed to other CDW locations or client sites.
