Responsibilities

Assist developers with evaluating software developed for veterans' affairs.
Help build a test plan with test cases based on user stories.
Using manual processes, generate data and execute the test cases to see how the software performs.
Document the results and communicate defects to the development team.

Required

1+ year(s) of experience with testing
Testers with focus on the backend testing APIs; experience with Postman, Bruno, SoapUI, and ReadyAPI
Working on modernization including comparison tests of legacy SOAP to the modernized REST endpoints
Manual focus, very limited automation
Experience with test methodologies, QA process, and the software release cycle
Knowledge of Operating Systems and networking
Knowledge of release procedures and software defect tracking
Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts
Ability to apply appropriate test methodologies including writing test plans and test cases
Experience with JIRA
Ability to obtain VA Medium-Background Investigation clearance

Preferred

Versed in the Section 508/WCAG standards
Experience with JAWS
Experience with Web Application testing (additional experience with Mobile App testing is ok, but they must have Web App experience)
