Responsibilities

Extensive knowledge within the manufacturing environment.
Recognized as a company expert and a go-to resources within your area of specialization.
Manages project contribution within area of specialization.
Consults with Senior Manager or Director concerning interdependence of their areas of expertise with overall objectives, critical issues, and policy matters.
Develop Process Flow Diagrams, Value Stream Maps, and other related engineering documents to support project efforts.
Assess manufacturing facilities from an operational, storage, material handling, and overall layout points of view.
Use Lean methodologies to Identify sources of waste and provide solutions for improvement.
Provide financial justification for proposed improvements, equipment, and technologies.
Exhibit strong project management skills.
Create professional documents summarizing projects and work efforts.
Make presentations to client staff and C-suite professionals.
Inform and provide material for marketing brochures and other sales propaganda.
Manage and mentor less experienced engineers/analysts to become consultants.
Work with internal support functions (design, HR, accounting) to deliver projects on-time and on-budget.
Manage A/R and invoicing with clients to achieve preferred payment timing.
Provide input and help prepare proposals for new scopes of work.
Will need to lead and mentor less experienced engineers as direct reports.

Required

10+ years of experience as an industrial engineer or supply chain engineer in manufacturing plant operations/engineering.
Significant experience with facilities, infrastructure, and systems.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate data in databases and spreadsheets. (A high level of proficiency in MS Excel or MS Access or other database tools, MS Office, and MS Project).
High attention to detail with commitment to continuous improvement.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to present documents to a client.

Preferred

Experience and knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent is a plus.
