Responsibilities

Execute manufacturing process improvements to meet customer expectations, project objectives, and comply with the Quality Management System.

Lead and mentor others to ensure effective decision-making regarding process challenges and long-term improvement goals.

Apply Visual Factory concepts, World Class Manufacturing techniques, and generate/analyze data to drive improvements in product quality, process reliability, and productivity.

Communicate, plan, and execute engineering tryouts for process changes related to continuous improvement or customer corrective actions.

Maintain process documents and controls to ensure long-term predictable results related to quality and cost.

Participate in the design and production validation of proposed manufacturing processes for new business opportunities.

Develop welding techniques, procedures, and application of welding equipment in assembly of metals utilizing AWS and/or customer production specifications.

Conduct research and development investigations to develop and test new assembly processes and procedures, improve existing welding equipment, and establish welding procedures.

Establish welding process parameters, certification processes for production welders, and document welding process instructions.

Direct and coordinate technical personnel in performing inspections to ensure compliance with welding procedures and standards.
