Marketing, Communications and Events Manager

Responsibilities
Working with the President/CEO and committee, develop and implement a cohesive annual marketing and communications plan aligned with strategic priorities to attract and retain individual and organizational members.
Create a calendar of and produce consistent social media messaging throughout the year.
Manage the creation and launch of quarterly e-newsletters, website content updates, bi-weekly member email communication, and other related marketing work in alignment with the annual marketing plan.
Follow established UW NEXT brand guidelines with all marketing and communication efforts.
Using current technology, set up a system to track attendance, the status of attendees (member, prospect, alumni, current staff, etc.), and satisfaction with service received.
Strategically working ahead of schedule to meet production deadlines and ensure all elements of the marketing and communication plan are effectively executed.
Responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and promoting 50+ virtual Zoom events annually through the Request for Presenters process.
Serve as producer and tech support for 50+ virtual Zoom events offering support to guest speakers, facilitators, and co-hosts.
Responsible for email communication to registered guests with reminders of event registrations, follow-up emails with event recordings uploaded to YouTube for registered guests, and compiling satisfaction survey results.
Support the President and CEO and volunteer committee chairs with agenda creation, data tracking, and other details on committees as assigned.
Work directly with and support key initiatives in partnership with 100+ volunteers who serve as authors of newsletter content, professional development (Events) guest speakers, facilitators, workgroup members, mentors, and board members.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and create cohesive workflows to improve member experience.

Required
Minimum of two years of marketing, communications, or public relations experience
Experience with social media channels, i.e., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
Experience with Salesforce, MailChimp, Canva, Microsoft Office Suite–Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to travel for occasional in-person meetings and events
Demonstrated successful ability to work with direct reports, colleagues, and volunteers
Preferred
Experience working for a United Way, a plus
Experience working for a trade association, a plus
Bachelor’s degree or some college credit preferred (English, journalism, communications, marketing or related major)
