Responsibilities
Manage Panasonic Connect mobility (TOUGHBOOK) marketing events calendar by planning and executing trade shows and field marketing programs.
Work closely with the senior manager of marketing events, marketing events specialist, vertical marketing team, and sales stakeholders to align on project plans and assign accountabilities.
Drive efficient pre-event planning by developing event timelines, assigning project roles, coordinating with suppliers, and actively following up with stakeholders on task status.
Effectively manage the event budgets, identify cost-saving measures to ensure the program stays within the allocated budget, and reconcile program costs at the conclusion of the event.
Serve as the on-site contact and event manager during complex event set-ups, such as large-scale trade shows or bi-annual company sales meetings, ensuring booth builds and event agendas are kept on schedule.
Conduct project review meetings communications with stakeholders, team members and suppliers after event concludes to identify successes as well as areas for improvement.
Own the event planning supplier relationships, including our trade show exhibit house and travel agency, and set clear expectations for supplier execution when kicking-off a project.
Oversee supplier Request for Proposals (RFP’s), budget assignments, sourcing, negotiations, onboarding, and invoice payments.
Work on special marketing projects as determined by business and manager needs.

Required
5+ years of event management experience, preferably working in a corporate environment or agency/vendor
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or similar field
Must have experience working with event planning/production suppliers and managing these relationships
Experience working with exhibit houses and construction contractors on-site for trade show booth builds
Experience managing a project budget and reconciling costs post-event
Experience in the B2B space and/or for a technology company
Strong problem-solving and organization skills
Outstanding communication and contract negotiation abilities
Ability to think outside-the-box and bring new ideas to life with a content and strategic mindset
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects while maintaining standards of quality
Highly collaborative when working with internal marketing, creative team, and external suppliers
Actively stays on top of trends and in-tune with the latest topics in event planning
Ensure all event planning and supplier activity aligns with Panasonic Connect compliance requirements
Personable and calm under pressure
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail
Strong communication and presentation skills
Comfortable presenting ideas and project plans to executive management
Proficient in MS Office
Travel required, possibly up to 45%
Preferred
Degree in Marketing preferred
Experience with SAP Ariba and CONCUR desired, but not required
