Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of process development – specifically related to wire, strip and tube processing.
Develop and or improve processes to meet customer functional requirements.
Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation and modification of the processing of nitinol materials-focusing on the processing of wire, strip and tube.
Document process development activities in technical memorandums and other process-related documents.
Interface with internal program managers and external customers to understand a comprehensive knowledge of new products.
Work in collaboration with operators, technicians, and process engineers to deliver materials products that meet customer requirements.
Coordinate with production team for training and manufacturing of nitinol materials.
Partner with other Development Engineers to develop strategic processing goals and objectives in order to integrate processes into LEAN value streams.
May technically supervise or coordinate the work of engineers, draftspersons, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments.
Develop an expertise in nitinol materials!

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering or equivalent.
Bachelor degree (BA or BS) in Engineering with one (1) to three (3) years of related engineering experience.
Preferred
Strong communication skills.
Experience with DOE set-up and analysis (i.e. Minitab)
Experience with Nitinol processing
