Responsibilities
Assist Director and Principal Investigators in managing projects, setting and executing technical and business milestones, coordinating project deliverables, managing project budget, and coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and customers.
Collaborate effectively with internal staff, external partners, and clients, preparing and presenting project status updates.
Ensure team meets technical and budgetary milestones through regular internal and external meetings, utilizing project management tools like Gantt Charts, OneNote, SharePoint, and CostPoint.

Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical degree such as chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, chemistry, or similar
A minimum of 5 years’ project management experience in research, technology transfer, or product development environments.
Practical experience leading multi-million dollar technical projects, with knowledge of project management methodology and techniques. Project management certification (PMP or similar) is preferred.
Background knowledge of business, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work positively and productively with a wide range of individuals involved in project and program management.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to elicit trust, exert influence, and obtain buy-in from internal and external partners.
Comfortable with taking initiative to complete complex tasks, quickly and autonomously, reacting with appropriate urgency, and holding the internal and external team members responsible to meet milestones
Due to government contracting regulations, U.S. Citizenship is a firm requirement.
Preferred
Project management certification (PMP or similar) is preferred.
