Responsibilities

Work in conjunction with the Senior Mechanical Engineer to establish systems designed to ensure that all mechanical project work submitted to the client is technically accurate.

Provide technical engineering information and assistance to company management to ensure compliance with the project requirements, engineering standards, applicable codes, and specifications.

Supervise the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with city, state, and county officials, and other outside agencies.

Serve as a mechanical technical expert to the team and provides technical expertise to projects as required. Provide leadership for projects and provide support to junior staff as well as field oversight of construction and mechanical commissioning activities.

Prepare designs, check, and specify power, lighting, and auxiliary systems and power system single line diagrams, to include feeder and over current protection sizing, and equipment elevations.

Perform design review of project documents for conformance to design requirements and LEED, Green Globes, and other sustainability programs.

Review engineering drawings and specifications for engineering accuracy and performance.

Provide recommendations and feedback regarding for improving the design, optimizing system performance, proper equipment selection, testing requirements, and operations and maintenance.

Troubleshoot faulty systems, perform the technical analysis necessary to interpret system data, and provide recommendations for corrective action.
