Responsibilities

Internships are 8 weeks long, including 7- weeks of remote education and planning and 8 days in the Dominican Republic or Belize.

Interns will spend 5 days assisting licensed medical practitioners with assessment, screening, triage, pharmacy, and providing basic treatments in a temporary medical clinic in rural areas of the country.

Interns will spend one day with the community providing community education on basic health and hygiene.

Individuals in these areas are generally living on less than $5 per day with limited access to water, no electricity, and no access to basic health or dental care.
