Responsibilities
Provide high-level technical advice and insights to inform GCRI’s projects and initiatives within your council’s focus area.
Collaborate with council members to establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that measure the effectiveness and impact of council activities.
Lead the identification and implementation of innovative solutions to address complex technical challenges.
Assume a leadership position within the council, guiding discussions, facilitating meetings, and ensuring productive collaboration among members.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including Regional Stewardship Boards, the Central Bureau, and strategic partners, to foster collaborative efforts and knowledge sharing.
Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of council-led projects, ensuring alignment with GCRI’s strategic goals and objectives.
Share best practices, emerging trends, and cutting-edge research to enhance the council’s capabilities and GCRI’s overall technical expertise.
Participate in and contribute to training programs and workshops aimed at building the technical capacity of council members and GCRI teams.
Assist in the creation of technical documents, guidelines, and toolkits to support GCRI’s initiatives and external clients.
Prepare and present regular reports on council activities, progress towards KPIs, and project outcomes to GCRI leadership and stakeholders.
Provide feedback and recommendations for improving council processes, methodologies, and overall effectiveness.

Required
Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in relevant fields such as Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Environmental Science, Public Policy, Cybersecurity, Data Governance, or related disciplines.
Minimum of 5 years in risk management, integrated resource planning, consultancy, research, policy development, or related roles.
Demonstrated experience in providing advisory services to external clients and leading strategic initiatives.
Strong understanding of various risk management sectors and experience in integrated risk management practices across multiple domains.
