Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Director of Quality to ensure adequate resources for R&D projects.

Plan, supervise, and coordinate metrology R&D efforts in alignment with the company's strategy.

Ensure timely delivery of R&D projects meeting quality expectations.

Report regularly on project status and risks.

Prepare justifications and budgets for R&D projects.

Provide technical support to internal and external customers.

Develop new analytical methods and techniques.

Evaluate new chemistries.

Conduct employee training, coaching, and mentoring.

Required

BS in Chemistry, or related degree and a minimum of 10 years professional lab experience; or a Master’s degree in Chemistry, or related degree, with a minimum of 5 years professional lab experience; or a Ph.D. in Chemistry, or related degree, with a minimum of 3 year professional lab experience

Previous management experience in a lab setting required

Strong statistical experience a highly desirable

Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Candidate must be able to multi-task and handle change in priorities

Professional communication skills within different functional groups

This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
