Responsibilities

Release Planning and Coordination:

Develop release strategies and plans leveraging Microsoft Azure DevOps capabilities.

Coordinate release schedules and activities with cross-functional teams including development, QA, and operations.

Ensure alignment of release activities with project timelines and business objectives.

Azure DevOps Configuration and Management:

Configure and manage release pipelines within Microsoft Azure DevOps to automate software deployment processes.

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable software releases.

Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows for continuous improvement.

Release Execution:

Lead the end-to-end release process, including planning, deployment, and post-release monitoring.

Conduct release readiness reviews and ensure all release deliverables meet quality standards.

Manage release communications and provide timely updates to stakeholders on release status and issues.

Risk Management and Quality Assurance:

Identify and mitigate risks associated with software releases.

Collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and validation of release candidates.

Implement strategies to improve release quality and minimize production incidents.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain release documentation, including release notes, procedures, and configurations.

Generate release performance reports and metrics to track key release management KPIs.

Provide regular updates and post-mortem analysis to drive continuous improvement in release processes.

Required

Proven experience (X years) as a Release Manager or similar role using Microsoft Azure DevOps.

In-depth knowledge of Azure DevOps services, including Azure Pipelines, Repos, Boards, and Artifacts.

Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices.

Experience in configuring and managing release pipelines for diverse software applications.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on process optimization and automation.

Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
