Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day technical support for Microsoft POS systems at retail locations, ensuring smooth operations.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues linked to the POS systems.
Configure and maintain POS terminals, peripherals, and related equipment for optimal functionality.
Assist with software updates, patch management, and system configurations to maintain security and performance.
Collaborate with internal IT teams and vendors to escalate and address complex technical issues.
Ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests concerning POS systems.
Document issues, resolutions, and system updates within the ticketing system.
Provide training and guidance to retail staff on POS system usage and troubleshooting.
Perform regular performance audits of POS systems and recommend optimizations.
Support integration of POS systems with enterprise solutions like inventory management and payment gateways.
Monitor POS systems for compliance with industry standards and security policies.

Required
8 to 15 years of experience
4 to 6 years of experience in Microsoft POS support or similar IT support roles
Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft POS systems
Experience handling hardware peripherals such as printers, scanners, and card readers
Familiarity with retail operations, workflows, and technologies
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to train end-users effectively
Knowledge of ITIL best practices
Strong understanding of POS security protocols and compliance standards
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Experience working with large-scale retail clients or companies in the transportation sector
Familiarity with cloud-based POS solutions and payment processing systems
