Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable and secure network solutions.
Install and configure network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure the smooth operation of the network.
Perform regular maintenance and updates to network systems to ensure they are running efficiently and securely.
Implement and manage security measures to protect network infrastructure from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
Analyze network traffic and usage patterns to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks.
Optimize network performance by adjusting configurations and implementing new technologies as needed.
Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.
Prepare and present reports on network performance, security, and usage to management and stakeholders.
Respond to network incidents and outages, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Develop and maintain incident response plans to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of network systems.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff on network-related issues.
Ensure that network operations comply with organizational policies and industry best practices.
Stay informed about the latest developments in network technology and security to implement best practices.
Continuously evaluate and improve network infrastructure to support business needs and technological advancements.
Stay updated on emerging network technologies and trends, recommending and implementing improvements as appropriate.
Manage relationships with network equipment vendors and service providers.
Evaluate and select network products and services that meet organizational needs and budget constraints.
