Responsibilities

Conduct on-going "As-Is" and "To-Be" analyses aimed at addressing future demand for service, including the expansion and improvement of core solution technologies in the areas of biometrics, data recovery, service-oriented architectures, cloud native architectures, process and transaction management and dynamic rules engines.
Develop recommendations and plans to incorporate new technologies and services to address evolving stakeholder needs.
Conduct directed technical reviews and technology trade-off analyses for emerging technologies, AWS services, and biometric tools.
Develop, update, and maintain the technology refresh roadmap, including all hardware and software assets within the full technology stack.
Perform message comparison analysis during Parallel Operations to identify and categorize message discrepancies. Analyze and track message comparison metrics in order to satisfy system functional and non-functional requirements to meet milestone entrance criteria.
Support biometric system performance testing in non-production environments to optimize matching services and ensure the system continues to meet performance and matching accuracy thresholds.
Develop, update, and maintain system design diagrams and documentation
Work independently and collaboratively in cross-team settings to achieve key project/program objectives and deliverables.

Required

Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or a High School diploma and 9 years of experience.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government agency level clearance (the DHS EOD, which you must have prior to starting).
5+ years of systems engineering experience or IT related experience.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in diverse, multi-national and virtual environment.
Experience with AWS or AWS GovCloud.
Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies.

Preferred

Experience with requirements verification and requirements traceability.
Experience with Splunk.
Experience with back-end Biometric Matching systems.
Experience parsing, data mining, and processing biometric and biographic information.
