Responsibilities

Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for state and federal court proceedings.
Prepare infringement and invalidity claim charts, Markman and claim construction proceedings, and patent-specific discovery.
Confer, negotiate, and communicate with opposing counsel.
Defend and conduct depositions, prepare for trial, and supervise junior associates.
Draft Federal Circuit appeal briefs and ensure excellent client services.

Required

Six to eight years of patent litigation experience
Significant experience with drafting and responding to pleadings
Preparing infringement and invalidity claim charts
Markman and claim construction proceedings
Patent specific fact and expert discovery
Inter partes reviews and overall litigation strategy
USPTO admission
Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or substantial experience litigating matters in these or similar disciplines
Direct responsibility in drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for use in state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings
Drafting and responding to complex discovery requests
Conferring, negotiating, and communicating with opposing counsel
Preparing for, defending, and conducting depositions
Preparing for trial, including preparing exhibit lists, evidentiary objections, motions in limine, and witness preparation
Preparing Federal Circuit appeal briefs
Supervising and training junior associates
Strong academic credentials
Superb judgment and communication skills
Commitment to providing excellent client services
