Responsibilities

Offer technical guidance and experience to the team including architectural decisions, code reviews, and best practices.

Jump into the code. Approximately 30% of your time will be spent hands-on coding.

Bring an entrepreneurial attitude and a 'roll up your sleeves' mentality to evaluating competing issues and assessing the product.

Dive deep into the product with the team to gain a thorough understanding of the product and the underlying technology.

Work closely with teams across Brightwell to deliver projects on time and within scope, identifying risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them along the way.

Identify and successfully implement improvements in our engineering processes, tools, and architecture to enable us to deliver on our key initiatives.

Be an effective spokesperson and champion for the engineering team.

Influence continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, coaching, and metrics.

Stay on top of current industry trends and best practices and help to implement them within the team ensuring an optimized, stable, scalable, software engineering environment.

Take on other challenges as needed.
