Responsibilities

Lead and manage the mortgage claims department, including setting strategic direction, establishing performance standards, and supervising staff.

Develop and implement policies and procedures for efficient and compliant claims processing.

Oversee the investigation of claims, collaborate with legal departments, and analyze claims data.

Maintain knowledge of industry regulations, manage relationships with external partners, and provide training for claims staff.

Handle complex claims negotiations, prepare budgets, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in mortgage claims or a related field, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.

Strong understanding of mortgage products, claims management processes, and applicable laws and regulations.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively managing stakeholder relationships.

Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field.
