Responsibilities
Engineering Microsoft SQL platforms.
Developing new features and services of low to medium complexity in collaboration with product, platform, infrastructure, and security teams.
Creating Runbooks, Standard Operating Processes, and conducting knowledge transfers to Operation Teams and Contractors.
Delivering clean, secure, and performant solutions and technology components that meet all non-functional requirements.
Acting as a Lead Engineer for medium to large initiatives, prioritizing and assigning tasks, providing guidance, and resolving issues.
Leading and participating in the development of process definitions, best practices, and standards.
Identifying new technologies for consideration in modern technology directions and implementing proof of concepts to validate these technologies.

Required
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
Ten (10+) years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server Engineer
Engineering Microsoft SQL platforms
Developing new features and services of low to medium complexity in collaboration with product, platform, infrastructure, and security teams
Creating Runbooks, Standard Operating Processes, and conducting knowledge transfers to Operation Teams and Contractors
Delivering clean, secure, and performant solutions and technology components that meet all non-functional requirements
Acting as a Lead Engineer for medium to large initiatives, prioritizing and assigning tasks, providing guidance, and resolving issues
Leading and participating in the development of process definitions, best practices, and standards
Identifying new technologies for consideration in modern technology directions and implementing proof of concepts to validate these technologies
Eight (8+) years of experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripting/coding languages such as Transact-SQL (T-SQL), Python, and PowerShell
Microsoft SQL Server Engineer: 9 years
Engineering Microsoft SQL platforms: 7 years
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): 3 years
Transact-SQL (T-SQL), Python, and PowerShell: 4 years
Ansible, GitHub, Control-M, Jira, and Confluence: 2 years
Preferred
Applications, with experience using Ansible, GitHub, Control-M, Jira, and Confluence
Adhering to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley compliance)
Developing technical application and service roadmaps, including recommending and initiating IT-driven projects
Providing technical subject matter expertise and insights related to business applications
