Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Thought Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional leaders across sales, finance, commercial operations, marketing, and operations to develop a comprehensive omni-channel sales strategy as part of the annual operating plan, securing alignment and Gaia Leadership Team approval.
Omni-Channel sales strategy and execution: Partner with key leaders to design and execute customer-specific plans that optimize trade investment and achieve strategic sales goals.
Drive Key Customer Business Acceleration: Close distribution gaps on core portfolio and expand with innovation; leverage data and insights to identify account specific opportunities, business strategies and plans.
Profitable Sales Growth: Deliver sales goals by building strong relationships anchored in open communication across all levels of retail and distribution partners including above-the-buyer contacts; lead joint business planning, top-to-top meetings and category reviews with key customers.
Field Team Budget Management: Meet sales and trade budgets for assigned accounts within the annual operating plan within pricing/financial guidelines ensuring profitability.
Team Management and Collaboration: Lead, develop and inspire a diverse team of professionals, including two direct reports and a network of distributors; foster a culture of results-oriented creativity and collaboration.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum 10+ years of sales experience in brick-and-mortar retail, preferably in the Natural Channel on VMHS categories with extensive experience in account management and Sales leadership roles building customer specific plans and influencing brand and business strategy.
Proven track record managing large retailers and distributors, with demonstrated success in exceeding sales and profit goals.
Expertise in developing joint business plans with retail partners and executing category-specific growth strategies.
Demonstrated leadership and agenda-setting with extended sales and broker networks.
Advanced technical proficiency with tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other Windows-based applications as well as intimate knowledge of standard consumption (ex. Nielsen, Spins, IRI), shipment, and financial reporting tools.
Strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset for data-driven decision-making.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Experience managing multiple brands and associated agencies and stakeholders.
Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a proactive, 'roll up the sleeves' approach toward business and brand building.
